  • Welcome!

Hi and welcome to my blog page. I'm a full-time Wedding Photographer specialising in both Indian and Western Weddings. I absolutely love my job and love photographing unique, quirky weddings right to the fun filled colourful weddings that go on for days.

My approach is a more candid style and I love capturing those special un-posed moments throughout the day.

Please take a look around my blog and dont hesitate to contact me.

I’m really sorry for the delay in posting part 2. I have been extremely busy with photography gigs and just last month I had the honour of photographing Jays Wedding (Photos by Jay, an Indian wedding photographer who I work with and also admire) and on top of that I also photographed a wedding all the way in India. I will be posting those pictures soon!!

Pre-Wedding Photoshoot can be found here: Pre-Wedding Shoot
Part 1 of Jessica’s and Subra’s Wedding can be found here: Part 1 – Pre Wedding Ceremony .

Part 2 consists of the actual marriage ceremony. I will try my best to explain as much as I can with this part of the ceremony.

Sample pics can be found below:

The wedding ceremony commences with prayers to Lord Ganesha, who averts misfortune and obstacles so that the ceremony may conclude without hindrance.

Jessica’s father places her hands in Subras hands. Jessica’s mother pours a stream of water into Subra’s hands while her father announces that he is giving his daughter’s hands in marriage to Subra so they may together search for Dharma (enlightment), Artha (wealth) and Kama (love).

Sometimes I like to take a step back and take some behind the scenes shot. You can see my camera on the ground. Probably not the best spot to leave it!!

Timed to an exact auspicious moment is the tying of the sacred thread, Mangal Suthra, around the brides neck. Three knots are tied, the first by Subra and the other two by his sister, Hema, to make the bride Jessica a part of the family. Subra and Jessica then join their hands and make a binding oath in the presence of divine Agni (fire) and guests to remain steadfastly devoted to each other and to live a harmonious and contented life as husband and wife.

    Josh - Great stuff Sidd!

I had the pleasure of photographing Kyla’s Christening at a beautiful church in Cronulla. It was my first time attending a christening and I learnt a lot from the service. I was unaware that there will be other babies in there getting christened and the actual formalities of the service, but this experience has been wonderful. Since I’m used to photographing weddings and other rituals which go on for hours, I was surprised how quick this service was.
